- Bangkok Railway Station : The national as well as the oldest train station of
Thailand, started building in 1910 and finished in 1916. The station was built in an Italian Neo-Renaissance
style, looks very similar to Frankfurt Central Station. It is the great place for those who love photography as
the decoration of the station is classic and the life of people rushing in and out the station is charming
enough to be taken through the lens.
- Wat Traimit : A remarkable temple sits the world's largest solid golden seated
Buddha image (around five meters tall), which was cast sometime in the reign of Sukhothai Dynasty (1249-1583).
The gold statue wad been covered in plaster and lacquer for hundreds year until it was discovered later in 1955
when the relocation of the statue caused the plaster broken and revealed the real solid gold statue. At the
present, this golden Buddha image sits in the new chapel of Wat Traimit and becomes the most interesting
attraction in the area. Tourists are allowed to visit the temple and the statue every day at 8.00 AM - 5.00 PM.
