- Queen Sirikit National Convention Center : The first purpose-built convention
center of Thailand named after Queen Sirikit in honor to Her majesty's 60th birthday, officially opened by
Their Majesties King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Queen Sirikit in 1991. The convention center is designed in
sophisticated "Thai Hi-Tech" theme which a mixture of traditional Thai architecture and modern decoration. In
from of the center, there is "Lokuttara", an iconic sculpture the resembles hands joined in a Wai, which is
traditional Thai greeting. There are more than 1,500 pieces of Thai art decorated inside the center as well. It
is a great place that worth a visit to appreciate Thai Art even it doesn't host any exhibitions or
- Maruey Knowledge and Resource Center : A modern library of The Stock Exchange
of Thailand, opened in 1975 to be the major resource of financial and investing knowledge. The library consists
of a wide selection of academic books, textbooks, journals, magazines, audiovisual aid, the Internet, as well
as occasional seminars for those who seek for better financial abilities. Maruey Knowledge and Resource Center
is located on the 1st and 2nd floors of The Stock Exchange of Thailand Building, where is about a few minutes
walk from MRT exit 2. The opening hours are 8.30 AM - 10.00 PM on Sunday to Thursday and 8.30 AM - 12.00 AM on
Friday to Saturday.
- Benjakiti Park : A public park with a concept of "Urban Park", consisting of
two main zones like Water Urban Park and Natural Urban Park which are featured with several contemporary
sculptures. The Water Urban Park zone is featured with a large artificial lake for recreation activities while
the Natural Urban Park offers the various species of plants affording the visitors to feel the green ambience.
